Gail, One will get ya |
Aroma: Maple Syrup with hints of Fig and Grape Skins. I'm also getting the seed of ripe fruit.
Appearance: Cloudy, burnt amber in color with a solid tan head.
Flavor: Plum, fig and Cherry notes, I still get the Grape skin flavors. Sweet in body, very dry finish
Mouthfeel: Low carbonation, but I don't feel it needs more do to the gravity. Starts a little heavy, finishing light and dry.
Overall Impression: This is a great beer. This recipe is spot on, on the first try. I must brew this again.
Brewing Timeline/Notes: This recipe was brewed on Nov 11, 2012. I turned this over pretty quick due to my fermentation space. Now that it is on tap, I'll let it sit a little bit and bottle about 1/3 of it.
